We're Back!!

Where have we been? I can't believe I haven't posted anything since August! I'll have to put together a list of highlights from 2008 to share in the near future.

For now, here's a view of our snowy day! We had a great time playing outside. The temperature wasn't too cold (finally!) and the snow was perfect for sledding and snowballs.
And this little contraption in Aiden's hands? It's a snowball maker the kids got from Uncle Chris for Christmas. It's awesome. It makes the perfect snowball every time!
After all that play, we came in to warm up with hot chocolate. Yum.

We'll see you soon! We have alot to catch up on!

Henry

For those of you who have been wondering where the photos of Henry are, take a look...

He's been keeping us just a little bit busy lately.

Seriously. I've never met a baby who can move so quickly. Yesterday he climbed the piano to kiss the picture of his cousin "Ya-eee-ya".

Climbing again.

And again.

Wild man.

The only time he stops moving is when he's asleep.

The boy's lucky he's so darn cute. Couldn't you just take a bite out of him???

I can't believe our girl turned 5 on Sunday. She's amazing--so smart, funny and beautiful. And so loved. Happy, happy birthday, sweet Stella.

Butterflies

A few weeks ago we ordered a Live Butterfly Garden from Insect Lore. We received our caterpillars in the mail and for days we watched them eat and grow. Soon they turned into chrysalides. After the butterflies hatched, we fed them flowers, sugar water, and an orange.

Before releasing them, Stella and Aiden whispered thank yous and wishes of good luck to the butterflies.

Today the kids wrote and illustrated their own books about butterflies.

Aiden called his book "My Beautiful Butterflies" and his only words are "Butterflies in the garden. Hope to see you soon!" How cute is he?????

Stella wrote a story about a butterfly who lays an egg on a milkweed flower. The egg hatches into a caterpillar, who turns to a chrysalis, becomes a butterfly and flies away.

What an amazing experience for all of us!!
